Strategy has resumed its Bitcoin accumulation after a roughly two-month pause, purchasing 4,603 BTC for about $369.7 million as the company resumes adding to its already massive cryptocurrency treasury.
Notably, the Michael Saylor-led firm acquired the Bitcoin between August 24 and August 30 at an average price of $80,318 per BTC, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The purchase brings Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings to 845,050 BTC, representing more than 4% of Bitcoin's 21 million coin supply cap. Moreover, the company has spent approximately $63.73 billion on its Bitcoin portfolio, including fees and expenses, at an average purchase price of $75,412 per BTC.
Earlier, Strategy acquired 1,587 BTC in mid-June for roughly $100 million. The company did not significantly change its Bitcoin holdings during the two-month gap, although it did disclose a sale of 32 BTC in early June, its first reported Bitcoin disposal since a 2022 tax-loss transaction.
The company financed the latest Bitcoin purchase through proceeds from its capital markets operations rather than relying only on existing cash. Additionally, Strategy sold 4.53 million shares of its MSTR common stock for roughly $602.8 million under its at-the-market offering program during the week.



 
Meanwhile, about $369.7 million of those proceeds went toward Bitcoin purchases. Strategy also used roughly $151.8 million to repurchase STRC preferred stock and allocated about $50.7 million toward STRC dividends. Strategy added around $30 million to its U.S. dollar cash reserve, which stood at approximately $1.61 billion at the end of August 30. The company's USD reserve was approximately $5.1 billion.
Furthermore, Strategy's renewed Bitcoin buying comes as the firm continues to balance cryptocurrency accumulation with the financial obligations attached to its preferred-stock programs. Its latest filing showed that about $19.09 billion remained available under its MSTR at-the-market program, giving the company additional capacity to raise capital for future initiatives.
Strategy's shares gained 6.3% over the previous week, closing Friday at $127.31, while Bitcoin rose about 1% during the same period.
