Prominent American investor, entrepreneur, and Bitcoin advocate Anthony Pompliano has shared his current view of the cryptocurrency market, with a key focus on the apex cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, which he remains heavily bullish on.
In a recent interview with Crypto Insider, Pompliano asserts that Bitcoin still has no competitor, as it solves the largest problems in finance—which center on money transfer. He is convinced the Wall Street crowd will back other assets by throwing a lot of capital into altcoins that he brands as “dead on arrival.â€
In Anthony Pompliano's world, Bitcoin, Stablecoins, tokenization, and equity of the infrastructure providers are the only relevant assets and structures in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
When quizzed on his outlook on Pump.Fun, the Solana-based memecoin launchpad founded in 2024 and since becoming extremely profitable, Pompliano questions its use case, pointing to crypto projects that were once promising and made millions but eventually shut down as proof that the long-term result remains unknown.
However, Pompliano seems bullish on Hyperliquid, the decentralized exchange (DEX) for perpetual futures and spot trading, which he places in the category of valuable infrastructure.



 
Bitcoin's recent price surge clearly signals that Bitcoin bulls are no longer asleep; however, whether the spike marks the end of the bear market remains unknown.
For Pompliano, what matters most is historical data, which has previously shown a pattern where the market either marks a reversal or a bottom of some sort in Bitcoin's direction, particularly after the market records a 5-sigma-type move.Â
Pompliano, who observed that investors' skepticism comes from a fear of sustaining losses after a price pump, which could favor market players briefly until volatility hits, repeatedly hints that a bull market is closer than ever.
“Don't get lulled to sleep,†and it's hard, because you're so used to Bitcoin being volatile in your direction that towards the end of these bear markets, it is very easy to kind of say “Hey man, this isn't working.â€
