Bitcoin could be well on its way to a new high, according to data from a market expert. In a recent report, CryptoQuant analyst Mark Casar highlights Bitcoin's recent price spike as a sign of a continued bullish trend.
Notably, Bitcoin recently climbed above the important $80,000 level; this move reads as a signal that the broader market is starting to heat up, according to futures volume indicators. The big bull is now advancing toward the $85,000 mark after clearing the one-year moving average, which currently sits near $80,061 and has acted as a key barrier.
According to the market analyst behind the report, if the current upward momentum continues and Bitcoin breaks through the critical two-year moving average resistance at an estimated $88,761, the move could unlock a much stronger and more sustained bullish trend for the leading cryptocurrency in the coming months.
The recent development comes as Bitcoin climbed to $86,000, after sustaining gains going above 10% from last Sunday's close. This came as spot and perpetual buyers continued to drive the advance, even as leverage and profit-taking gradually increased with the rising price. Meanwhile, the one lingering soft spot remains ETF flows, which are still moving in the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, a recent Bitcoin chart further validates a bullish uptrend as Bitcoin has just recorded its strongest weekly close in four months and successfully reclaimed the 50-week moving average for the first time since November 2025.
According to CoinMarketCap data, the leading cryptocurrency is up more than 6% from the previous day and trading at $86,015, with total market cap up 5% at the time of reporting.
