Manchester, UK – As the revolving door of managers continues to spin at Manchester United, each new boss has had to quickly find a place to call home during their tenure at the iconic Old Trafford stadium.

From Sir Alex Ferguson’s grand Cheshire mansion to Jose Mourinho’s extended stay at the plush Lowry Hotel, United’s managers have resided in some of the region’s most luxurious properties.

Ferguson, United’s legendary former boss who led the club to 13 Premier League titles, lived in a mock Tudor mansion in the upscale village of Wilmslow before moving into a custom-built five-bedroom home on one of Cheshire’s “most desirable roads.”

The property, which Ferguson’s family sold for £3.25 million after his wife’s passing, boasted lavish features like a games room with a snooker table and carpets in the Ferguson clan tartan.

Other United managers have also gravitated towards the affluent Cheshire area, with David Moyes residing in the historical, 76-acre Haighton House during his ill-fated 10-month spell in charge.

Meanwhile, Louis van Gaal opted for a £5,500-per-month apartment in the nearby village of Alderley Edge.

The hotel of choice for many United bosses has been the luxurious Lowry in Salford, with both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer initially basing themselves there before finding more permanent residences.

Mourinho famously racked up a £500,000 bill during his two-year stay, while Solskjaer later moved into an expansive 3.4-acre property in Alderley Edge.

The latest manager, Erik ten Hag, has broken the mold, choosing a city center penthouse over the Lowry Hotel when he first arrived. He later settled into a home in Cheshire, though the exact location remains unknown.

As Ruben Amorim becomes the latest man tasked with reviving United’s fortunes, he too has followed in the footsteps of his predecessors by taking up residence at the Lowry.

However, if he can replicate the success of Sir Alex Ferguson, he may one day be able to call an equally impressive Cheshire mansion his own.
