Real Madrid Dominates FIFPRO World 11 Selections

In a testament to their recent success, Real Madrid players have once again been recognized as among the best in the world by their fellow professionals. The 2024 FIFPRO World 11, voted on by over 28,000 players globally, features a strong Madrid contingent.

Six Real Madrid stars were selected for the prestigious men’s team, reflecting the Spanish club’s continued dominance. Midfielders Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, and Toni Kroos were chosen, along with defenders Dani Carvajal and Antonio Rüdiger, and forward Vinicius.

The only non-Madrid players in the men’s XI were Manchester City’s Ederson, Rodri, Erling Haaland, and Kevin De Bruyne, as well as Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk.

On the women’s side, Spain’s influence was also evident, with three Barcelona players – Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmatí, and Keira Walsh – making the cut. Real Madrid’s Olga Carmona was the other Spanish representative.

The NWSL, North America’s top women’s league, was represented by Orlando Pride’s Marta and Barbra Banda.

The FIFPRO World 11 selections showcase the global talent pool and the continued dominance of certain clubs and national teams. Real Madrid’s six selections in the men’s team underline their status as one of the powerhouses of world football.
