PARIVISION came from behind to beat Team Liquid 2-1 on Friday and advance to the lower-bracket semifinal at the Dota 2 ESL One Raleigh event.

In lower-bracket first-round action earlier Friday, Team Liquid swept AVULUS 2-0, and BetBoom Team ousted Nigma Galaxy 2-0.

The $1 million tournament in North Carolina — the first ESL One event played in the United States since 2015 — runs through Sunday. It is the fourth of five events that make up the ESL Pro Tour. DreamLeague Season 26 will be held in Europe from May 19-June 1.

In Raleigh, the 12 teams were split into two six-team groups for three days of round-robin play. Group-play matches were two games apiece, with ties possible. The top two teams from each group advanced to the upper bracket of the playoffs, the third- and fourth-place teams headed to the lower bracket and the fifth- and sixth-place teams were eliminated.

The winner of the Sunday final will take home $250,000 in prize money, $40,000 in club money and a share of the 27,920 ESL Pro Tour points available in the tournament. The second-place squad will receive $130,000 and $35,000 plus EPT points.

On Friday, Team Liquid beat PARIVISION in 42 minutes on green, but PARIVISION rallied to take the last two maps, both on green, in 35 minutes and 33 minutes.

Russia’s Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov logged an average 8.7/2.0/5.7 kill-death-assist ratio for PARIVISION. Sweden’s Michael “miCKe” Vu paced Liquid at 4.7/2.7/7.0.

Liquid rolled past AVULUS in 42 minutes on red and 49 minutes on green behind miCKe’s 12.5/2.5/12.0 K-D-A ratio. Belarus’ Aliaksei “Smiling Knight” Svirydau wound up at 5.5/3.5/9.0 for AVULUS.

BetBoom Team bounced Nigma Galaxy in 29 minutes on green and 51 minutes on red.

Russia’s Danil “gpk” Skutin registered an 8.5/1.5/11.5 K-D-A ratio for BetBoom Team. Pakistan’s Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan finished at 4.0/4.0/4.5 for Nigma Galaxy.
