Dutch Forward Malen Offers Himself to Barcelona for Potential Transfer

Donyell Malen

Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen is reportedly seeking a move away from the Bundesliga club, and has offered himself to Spanish giants Barcelona.

According to reports from Sky Germany and Sport, the 25-year-old Dutch international is out of contract with Dortmund in 2026, and with no signs of a new deal on the horizon, he is set to depart either in January or the upcoming summer transfer window.

Dortmund are said to be willing to accept an offer of around €20 million for Malen, who has attracted interest from Barcelona as well as Atletico Madrid in recent months.

However, the report suggests Barcelona are more likely to make a move for the forward in the summer, as they are not planning to enter the winter window unless faced with a serious injury.

While Atletico were linked with Malen last summer, they have since invested heavily in their forward line, making a mid-season move less likely. Barcelona, on the other hand, are said to be keen on finding an alternative to the aging Robert Lewandowski for next season.

So far this season, Malen has recorded 4 goals and 2 assists in 17 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund, while also maintaining his place in the Dutch national team setup.
