Atletico Madrid vs Mallorca Team News & Predicted Lineups: La Liga

Atletico Madrid will be aiming to bounce back from their recent setback when they welcome Mallorca to the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday in a crucial La Liga encounter.

Diego Simeone’s side saw their 15-game winning run across all competitions come to an end earlier this month with a 1-0 defeat against Leganes. However, they have since responded with two Champions League victories and a draw in the league against Villarreal.

Sitting second in the table, four points behind leaders Real Madrid, Atletico will be keen to maintain their strong home form, having collected 27 points from 11 matches at their own stadium so far this season.

Mallorca, meanwhile, have endured a difficult start to 2025, losing each of their four matches in all competitions, including a 3-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals and a 4-0 thrashing by Villarreal.

Jagoba Arrasate’s side occupy sixth position in the standings, but will be wary of the threat posed by an Atletico team seeking to keep the pressure on their title rivals.

Team News

Atletico will welcome back Javi Galan from suspension, but Rodrigo De Paul will miss out due to a ban. Clement Lenglet is expected to return to the starting XI after missing the Villarreal draw.

For Mallorca, Ivan Cuellar is available again following a suspension, but Valery and Manu Morlanes remain sidelined through injury. Omar Mascarell is also unavailable after his red card against Real Betis.
